Job Summary:
Operate the Totani and/or Hudson Sharp Pouching Machine in the safest, most effective, and efficient manner while adhering to established quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in training, embrace concepts of and actively practice the STOP Safety Program fundamentals to aid efforts to achieve a zero-accident rate.
• Participate in developing, understanding, and following all SOP’s.
• Read, understand, interpret, and utilize all information retrieved from job jackets, manufacturing specifications, pouch specifications and print spec sheets.
• Perform and manage machine set-ups/changeovers by utilizing the information on the job jacket and the pouch specification.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the quality standards associated with running a pouch machine. Conduct, document, interpret and act upon all data obtained during QA tests.
• Understand the bar code system to properly scan all raw materials used in production to ensure accurate inventory control. Able to produce new tickets for all finished goods inventory and return to stock unused materials.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner which document production, waste, set up time and downtime and all Quality Assurance tests.
• Successfully set up machine to customer specifications.
• Successfully troubleshoot all mechanical problems and apply corrective action as needed.
• Safely operate all necessary roll handling equipment to load work in process rolls onto machine.
• Produce pouches within customer specifications while completing all necessary quality testing
Preferred Qualification:
• MUST HAVE: Totani and/or Hudson Sharp Pouch Operator- previous experience in Flexible Packaging.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in APC manufacturing positions or specific industry related to pouch making experience

Additional Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute percentages and interpret bar graphs.
Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb and balance.
• The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting printing presses, laminators, slitters, and peripheral equipment. The maintenance mechanic will be responsible for general plant and facility repair.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
MUST HAVE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE - Minimum two years of experience in repairing and maintaining flexographic printing presses, wide web slitting machines and/or laminators.
Requirements:
• Must adhere to all quality processes, including documentation and verification as they apply to the performance of your tasks.
• Able to lift between 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk, squat, crouch, turn, twist, stretch, climb steps, grab, pull, push, and bend throughout an 8-to-12-hour shift.
• Knowledge of flexographic printing production equipment **
• Knowledge of electric motors, pumps, and pneumatic systems. **
• Candidate must have knowledge of control systems components including PLC logic, control system wiring, VFDs, 3 phase motors, potentiometers, encoders, electro-pneumatically actuated valves and pneumatic control systems. **
• Ability to perform routine mechanical or electrical maintenance. Ability to work from sketches, drawings, and wiring schematics,
• Experience with machinery of OEMs such as Uteco, DCM ATN, Bielloni, Nordmeccanica is a big plus. **
• Ability to maintain records regarding material, equipment, and repairs.
• Ability to communicate with machine manufacturers to diagnose and resolve machine breakdowns over emails or phone calls.
Duties:
• Maintain and repair equipment using hand and power tools.
• Install, service and repair electric motors, heaters, coolers, pumps.
• Install and test parts as needed.
• Ensures the proper use, care and storage of tools and equipment.
• Performs all duties in conformance with good manufacturing practices to avoid contamination of raw materials.
• Dismantles and reassembles units or parts to clean, repair, maintain or adjust the machine.
• Perform and documents preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in the PM logs.
• Performs cleaning tasks as outlined in the PM cleaning logs (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
• Perform LOCKOUT TAGOUT per company policy.
• This job position is a “safety sensitive position.” Safety training will be provided and must be followed.

Job Summary:
The primary focus of the position will be to lead and supervise the lamination and pouch operation towards advanced standards of safety, quality, production, efficiency, and optimal individual contribution. Process analysis and improvement will be a major responsibility. This will include the evaluation of current processes and procedures. This position is responsible for recommending, implementing, monitoring, and measuring the effectiveness of policies and procedures. Training, policy enforcement, R&D, supplier management, employee management, waste reduction, efficiency production are key areas that require improvement and would fall under the responsibility of this position.
Education:
• College degree preferred. Minimum high school and equivalent work experience and demonstrated knowledge.
• Computer proficient
Experience Required:
10+ years in flexographic industry. Preferably at least 3+ years in a supervisory role. Must have wide web flexographic experience using solvent and solvent less adhesives in the lamination process, laminating on various substrates including BOPP, PET, PE, Paper, coated films etc. Familiar with slitting policy and procedures and machinery. Familiar with Totani pouch machine.

• Responsible for overall efficiency/production, quality, and safety for lamination and pouch department.
• Responsible for lamination and pouch operators, lamination, and pouch assistants, leads and department supervision.
• Must ensure a safe working environment and that employees are compliant with all personnel, product, and food safety regulations, including but not limited to adhering to safety policy, wearing protective gear, wearing safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, etc.
• Must ensure safety guards are in place on all machinery, especially when the equipment is operational.
• Ensure that employees are trained and follow all general hygiene and product safety procedures.
• Ensure that maintenance of the equipment and work environment is performed as scheduled.
• Conduct daily inspections of the equipment and workplace to ensure order and cleanliness.
• Ensure procedures are being followed in preparation for production and a customer approved sample is available for production comparison.
