Poly Print has earned many prestigious industry certifications that are relevant and important to our customers and play a significant role in shaping our company’s culture. Perhaps of greatest importance to food packagers, Poly Print is SQF-certified for both Food Safety and Quality.

The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Food Safety program and certification ensure the safety and quality of food and food packaging products through an internationally recognized certification system, featuring an emphasis on the systematic application of a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan for control of food safety hazards. The implementation of an SQF management system addresses our customers’ food safety requirements. Although Poly Print does not manufacture or handle food products directly, packaging is considered an “ingredient” of the final packaged product, and our SQF certification ensures that our products, materials and processes are safe for direct food contact.

In addition to its Food Safety certification, Poly Print also has a strong SQF Quality Program and has earned the associated SQF Quality Program certification, which is designed to monitor and control food quality-related threats. This certification is not easy to obtain and is best suited for companies who have already implemented a successful, robust SQF Food Safety Plan; ideally, the SQF Quality Program is implemented in tandem with the SQF Food Safety Program.

Both the SQF Food Safety and Quality program certifications are earned based on successful completion of a comprehensive 3-day facility audit; Poly Print has consistently scored in the “Excellent” category in both areas, and most recently, earned a perfect score on its April 2020 SQF audit (an exceptionally rare occurrence).

Poly Print has also earned a Graphic Measures International (GMI) certification, another difficult-to-obtain certification which measures and monitors company processes and print quality. Industry focus on this certification was initially inspired by Walgreens, and in recent years, GMI standards have been adopted by many major brands. Our customers can take comfort in knowing that Poly Print has a strict and scientific method to control the variables inherent to the printing and production process and produce consistent and measurable results, time and time again.

Poly Print takes an active role in our industry and community and belongs to several prominent trade organizations, including the Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) and the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA). Both organizations provide insightful industry information and are sources for relevant information about the flexible packaging Industry.

In addition, Poly Print is a member of the Produce Marketing Association (PMA), a trade organization that focuses on the global fresh produce and floral industries.
